Duncanville overcame an early deficit and used explosive plays to build a commanding lead, highlighted by Trenton Yancey’s 55-yard touchdown run and Ayson Theus’ jet-sweep score in the first quarter. Waxahachie stayed within reach thanks to Ethan Guillen’s long field goals and an 8-yard touchdown reception by Kohen Brown, but Duncanville struck twice more before halftime, including a 30-yard touchdown pass to Zach Turner to go up 28–13 at the break. Early in the third quarter, Theus added a 25-yard touchdown catch from J’Coryon Rivers, extending the Panthers’ advantage to 35–13, before another Waxahachie field goal trimmed the lead entering the fourth.
The final quarter swung wildly as Duncanville intercepted a pass but immediately fumbled the ball back, setting up an 8-yard touchdown catch by Taylen Strange and a successful 2-point conversion to cut the margin to 35–24. Another Duncanville fumble and Guillen’s 51-yard field goal pulled the Indians within eight. Waxahachie forced a late punt and drove to the Duncanville 18 with a chance to tie, but the Panthers’ defense delivered a crucial fourth-down stop with under two minutes remaining, sealing a 35–27 victory.
