Duncanville set the tone early and never let up, rolling past No. 6 Allen 31-9 to earn a berth in the UIL 6A Division I state championship. After forcing a turnover on downs on Allen’s opening drive, the Panthers struck quickly on a 53-yard touchdown run by Trenton Yancey and built a 14-0 first-quarter lead. Duncanville’s defense consistently disrupted Allen’s high-powered offense, while a field goal late in the second quarter sent the Panthers into halftime ahead 17-6.
Allen made several attempts to swing momentum with special teams plays and fourth-down tries, but Duncanville’s defense held firm. A fourth-down touchdown pass from quarterback J’Coryon Rivers to Zachary Turner early in the fourth quarter provided the decisive blow, and Yancey sealed the win with a late 27-yard scoring run. Duncanville totaled 361 yards of offense and controlled the game from start to finish, looking every bit like a championship contender as it advanced to the state title game.
